A number of auto dealerships are either being built or renovated in Quebec, and as a result, the demand for the Rousseau cabinets and workbenches distributed by Pedlex has never been so strong. According to Yves Poirier, Vice-President and co-owner, along with his brother Francis (President) and their father Pierre (Founder), the company experienced a record year in 2016 and is set to beat that record this year.
Over their vast sales territory (all of which is located west of Drummondville), the Poirier family is proud to cover nearly all of the major construction and renovation sites that are currently active.
Even the recent phenomenon of dealership mergers has had a positive impact on the company’s bottom line. As he explains, if a group holds you in high esteem, all of the dealerships within that group eventually become your clients. But what really counts is client satisfaction, regardless of whether that client is a group or a sole proprietor. For example, the HGrégoire Group, which is expanding at a feverish pace, relies heavily on Pedlex. As the Vice-President relates, the Project Manager is always the same, everything is well-established and they already know how much it costs, so you just have to be the best.
He’s also proud to point out that, with the exception of one dealership in Quebec, the company, which fulfills numerous industrial and commercial contracts, works with all of the prestigious automobile brands, including McLaren, Aston Martin and Rolls-Royce.
THE HOPES OF PEDLEX FOR 2018
This spring, the Saint-Basile Ford dealership will celebrate that fact that Charles-André Bilodeau’s establishment will be the first in Canada to benefit from the manufacturer’s new Image program. Given that Pedlex was heavily involved in this project, Yves Poirier can hardly hide his satisfaction as he speaks of how proud they are of what they’ve accomplished, praising the incredible appearance of the new service bays.
Considering that this is only the first milestone in a reimaging project that will encompass some 80 additional Ford dealerships in Quebec, Pedlex hopes that the expertise displayed in Saint-Basile-le-Grand will inspire other dealers. One day soon, it will be General Motors’ turn to revamp its facilities, and Pedlex has every intention of taking a front-row seat.
Essentially, every time Pedlex successfully fulfills a contract at a dealership, the Poirier family leaves behind the most beautiful business card there is. So in 2018, they’re counting on scattering a multitude of creations all across their territory, each of which will serve as a convincing showcase.
